After being released from pro ball, he would return to the Studs and go onto win two NBC World Series championships before retiring as a player at the age of 33. During his time with the Studs, he also signed professional contracts three more times in his but each time he required arm surgery before reporting to the teams.
Josh graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1999, where he was a teammate of Merchants hitting coach Beau Blacken. During high school, he made the All-WesCo team twice, and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 25th round after playing just one game his senior year due to injury.
He was the pitching coach at Lake Stevens High School from 2007 to 2009 and then spent three seasons as a player/coach with the Studs. He was also the head coach of the 16U Club Nine baseball and most recently was the pitching coordinate for Aces Baseball Club.
